Have just been watching the BBC program - The Great British Sewing Bee. This week they were making nightdresses in silk. Is it me that thought most of them looked like evening dresses. None of them looked as if they would have been comfortable to wear in bed. Most of them were far too tight and one even had been adorned with crystals - most peculiar. The one I liked the best came bottom of the list. It was white and very roomy. I think I am showing my age :))

Ha, ha. Loved Jerilyns comment. I immediately remembered one instance where I had bought satin sheets and had on a sleek nightie. I thought I was cute when I threw myself on the bed. It did not have the desired affect I had thought. I found myself on the other side on the floor. Slid right over and my husband laughed for days. Cotton sheets and comfy cotton nightie are my choice. Hm,,,, maybe the crystals would have stopped me.

Ever when I was young I preferred comfortable to sexy!!

Oh fun, I love jrob's comment! For me - my first thought is: Can I wash it easily? Therefore I prefer jersey or some fabric to keep warm in winter,
the practical sort and comfortable. Unfortunately I cannot watch BBC
in our area of Germany - have to wait to get to my girlfriend in UK again
