Jan. challenge, onesie. I had never tried to embroider on a onesie so here is my first attempt. My twin greatgrandbaby boys are going to be baptised on Sunday and my granddaughter didn't have anything for them to wear so I embroidered these for the babies. I don't know where the design came from , just found it in my files. I don't think I used the right stabilizer but I wanted something soft that wouldn't scratch them and I didn't have much to choose from on hand.

Well the babies were baptized at this morning's service and the little onesies were adorable on them. They were so good, not a cry from either one of them. Thank you to everyone that commented.

You have done an amazing job. Having embroidered several in the past I know how difficult they can be. Well done.

Congratulations on the upcoming baptismal event, this is a very appropriate design, simple yet says it all. Yes, I too have found these a pain to stitch on.

So cute. I did 6 for my great grand son. If I had to do them for a living I would starve! DO NOT like doing them. My grand son was in the army and I did a couple related to it.

I know, there is no room to work with these teeny garments. The twins were preemies and their clothing is so small. These are newborn size. Larger sizes may be easier.

Think I'll stick to tee shirts ; )

Nice job on these...I usually iron a soft knit fusible like Cloud on the wrong side to cover the embroidery stitches..it helps stabilize the embroidery, and it also keeps the stitching from scratching the baby...Pellon also makes one that I can get at our JoAnn's Fabrics..

I don't have a fabric store within 40 miles and I don't have time before Sunday to go get anything but I will keep your suggestion in mind if I do any more of these for the babies. Thank you.
