Yes I have been perusing the older section of the projects and couldn't resist this one..This is the first time seeing an embroidery design using thread snips...where ever did you find this fabulous design? I have been working on fsl here lately and would love to give this a try...lord knows I have tons of thread snips..
Anyway..lovely work..another flower for you*
I love this, lbrow. I have also been collecting my thread snips - now I will have to try something like this to use uo some of them. Clever girl!! 4U
he surely looks great lbrow! I started collecting thread snips a few weeks ago but don't have enough yet, maybe I manage by Christmas - I am collecting to make some Christmas baubles using organza. well done *4u
As if I wasn't already collecting enough stuff, now I need to collect my threaed snips too! :) Your turkey is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
WOW .. that's pretty cool .. I love how it came out. Where did you get the design specifically for thread snips??? ***4u
This looks great. Nice way to use up all those thread snips. Hard to judge from the picture what's snips and what's stitching, but the end result is stunning. Where did the design come from? Flower for you.
this is sooo great , will start saving the snips now. is ur design a fsl, what will happen when u wash it?
yes it's FSL & i believe it has enoug stitching on it to hold it together, Actually I washed it with a little dishwashing liq. & hot H20 to dissolve the wss. with no problems, but someone else has suggested using net or chiffon, a see through material to do it, I'll try it that way & post another. *4U
Wow, that looks fantastic, I have never thought about using 2 threads, you are soooo clever, I can never predict what you talented ladies are never going to come up with next. Definately a *4U...
Sorry about the double comments but the kids were distracting me and I thought I cancelled. Away with the fairies again.
Wow this looks fantastic, I have never thought of using 2 threads at a time, you are so clever and imaginative.Definately a *4U..
Wow He is lovely, we have a real turkey here, but your's looks much nicer. I am always curious to know the size of things, so.....?
Here's a flower your turkey won't eat but mine will...

Sorry, turkey. You will only be safe till Christmas, then it will be our turn to gobble, gobble, gobble you up!YUM.They will carry us both away. LOL.
This is wonderful Ibrow - talk about gobble, gobble, that turkey certainly gobbled all those snip ends & made a wonderful job of it. Such a novel idea.
I have never saved my thread snips before always trashed them Now maybe I will save them. Great idea to try and you did well. *4U
wow what a lot to take in now you need to make a friend for him, what a learning post this has been.am I the only one that puts thread snips in the bin I would give you a gold star but will have to give you *******
Great job. I have never collected my thread snips. But I think I will start.
That is just great! I have several zip lock bags of thread snips I just didn't have a clue what to do with them!! Knew someone would tell me some day! Tks! Hope I can make something as cute as your turkey!
Lillian, this has turned out wonderful - very good job and a great use of all those pretty thread snips - that all of us just hate throwing away - I love it. *4U
Nice work. You have been reading the tips.Try sandwiching the snips between 2 layer of very sheer fabric, and embroider over that still using wss in the hoop. The snips then will be firmly sandwiched between the fabrics and there will be no chance of them coming adrift if you ever have to wash it.This deserves a flower
Mom, what will you think of next? Great job on the turkey!!
fittosew, where have you been - I haven't seen you forever? I have missed you. *4U
That looks great!! You are so creative to think of the idea. No waste when even thread snips can be used. Hugs & flowers!
I think you are very clever and are 5 months ahead of the game!
It wasn't my idea jrob, the design was done to specifically use thread snips it's just I don't think anyone else has ever tried it. I've got thread snips running out of my ears & decided to try it works & I think looks good
