This is a large monogram (4.5 x 8.5) on a mens deconstructed sweatshirt. I cut off the neck cuff and stitched it with a finishing stitch. I removed the wrist cuffs and folded it back and removed the bottom cuff and left it raw. designcrazy was asking about these. I did several of these for Christmas gifts and they were a big hit.

This monogram is Chevron Script Uppercase and Chevron Script from hangtodryapplique.com

Thanks jrob for showing us your sweatshirts, I appreciate your advice very much!!! So is that lace on the bottom photo or does it stitch out like that? Very pretty!!!! I'm thinking my daughter would love one of these shirts!!!!

It is an applique using lace. You're welcome. I only used a med weight, poly mesh cut away sprayed with KK2000 and hooped along with the shirt. No problem with either one of them. You can put a turtle neck underneath to dress it back us.

Gorgeous monogram, Jeri....I did this to the color of one of my sweatshirts, but it wasn't n purpose.....the color got under my embroidery and stitched it closed......LOL!

Excellent work! The stitching really makes the letters have a 3D quality.

Great job there - I did one for myself with one of the HTD monograms too, but I cheated - I bought a shirt that looked like I wanted - but I only paid $3 or $4 for it. I wanted to try it and did not have patience to cut down the shirts.

Like the look. Cutting off those pieces lightens up the sweatshirt.

It works for going to the gym especially well. It comes on an off easily. One of my DH's nieces in her late 20's wears her with jeans and pearls. She's a hoot, and looks really cute.

If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you can see the chevron stitch in the center of the letters.
