Thank you all for your kind words...I just got a call from my SIL and brother...they loved it! Sooo glad that all of my work was sooo appreciated. All of the quilting in the blocks was done in the hoop after the quilt was layered and assembled...then the borders were quilted through on my regular embroidery machine using the 4x12 "endless" hoop. All of the blocks are stippled in the corners and the center blocks are stipples around the lighthouses and ships...The only "regular" machine quilting that was done is the "in-the-ditch" quilting...all of the rest was done with the embroidery machine...The blocks are 16" square...
Fantastic, I think you should put a hanging sleeve on it just encase they decided to hang it. Great job
