Cat Mask - tested by Kezza.

Hoop tearaway stabiliser. Add a layer of non-fray fabric. The first colour will baste it to the stabiliser. 

 

Before stitching the final two colours, add a second layer of fabric beneath the hoop and change the bobbin thread to match the top thread. This thread should match your fabric. (The eyes are outlined in a contrast to make them stand out) If you want to add elastic at this stage, cut a slit through the fabric and stabiliser just outside the stitching, level with the eyes. Poke the ends of the elastic through and trap between the two layers of fabric.
