62459I love the way you put added room at the bottom. I have been trying to figure out if you made it so the bottom will open for changing. My daughter is due to have a little girl in January (or late Dec. if things develop like with the other grandchildren. She has asked me to make at least 3 and yours gives me some ideas. I love the embroidery. The last one I made for my last gd didn't have embroidery as I didn't have my embroidery machine yet. Love your work.

The reason there's an added piece (divided by the pink) was because after cutting it out, I felt I hadn't cut it long enough and Lily would grow out of it soon. So I added a 10 inch tube(extension) sewn with an oval bottom (which also adds to the length when it's flat).
To make it look more interesting, I added the pink. I simply used my pinking rotary cutter to finish the edge.

When I was a baby, my parents had to tie me in the blanket because we didn't have anything like this. Lily sleeps like me, I think she'll be in one of these for a long time too.
