Half Circle Skirt Aprons

These were made before the full circle skirt one and they do not have mongrams.

These are halter back, which I personally won't wear because my neck is kinda sensitive. I prefer two straps on the shoulder.

I like this fabric better. This and the other one I posted earlier are similar fabrics I got together. Both big prints, hard to be used else where. This one has brighter colors.

By the time I was making the second one, I did not have enough fabric to make the bodice so I used white fabric and made two fabric flowers with the circle that I cut off when I made the skirt. The trim in the center is two rickrack twisted together.

I used the wave stitch on my Babylock Evolution Serger to do the edges of the skirt instead of doing rolled hem.

Again no pattern was used. They were both my own design. Gave both away.

I make tons of aprons and oven mitts, potholders, but I never use them. I don't have any of those for myself!

Did you cut the circle and fold it in half to sew and gather to the bodice?

I cut a circle. Then cut off an inner circle a few inches larger than the waiste measurement. Then I cut it into two half circles for the skirts of the two aprons above. The skirts were slightly gattered to the bodices.

Then I cut a spiral shape with the inner circle and made the two flowers.

I love this! Do you have a pattern? I like the white bodice with the flowers best.

I love the twisted rick rack effect! This is another very pretty apron, I too prefer the straps opposed the neck ones. You should keep one for yourself too! It is a lovely pattern. Hugs Loralye
