3442I love the ric-rac hat! It is the perfect touch to finish the hat. If you wanted, you could vary the size or move it out closer to the edge, but I like it the way that it is. :)

I think a narrow rick-rack would be in more proportionate to the size of the garment. But, I like cuteness on little ones' clothing.

2251I like it plain, because I love the shape of the scallops that form the edges of the hat. It gets a bit lost when you add ric-rac. But I think a very narrow ric-rac or trim that follows the brim edges more closely would be very pretty too. This is a terrific idea Sue, and very well executed rescuer. Well done.

It is a large clear button -- included in a bundle of hair bands that I purchased in order to do ITH purses that matched. The hat lining matches a dress I made. I think a very narrow ric-rac would do better.

140716They are both cute. Depending on what is being worn to me it would be like if the garment has lots of pattern then the plain one and if the clothing being worn were plain then the ric-rac one.

Ric-Rac finishes it, I think. Although I did like it with out. So your going to have to count me as "on the fence". Not much help I know. But they are both so cute. Where is the pattern? How did you make it ITH?
