I made this t-shirt up for my husband, this design is on the back of the shirt as I have to still search for a smaller one for the front but since I am sew not a fan of the scratchy thread nest on the back I decided to fix it by leaving an eighth of an inch all the way around the lightweight stabilizer & then leaving part of the stabilizer attached I sewed it all the way around with an applique stitch! now it is all covered up & will not be irritable on his back!

nice design....I use Tender Touch on back of embroidery to avoid the thread scratching...I get it at JoAnn's when they have the 50% off. It is great for baby items too. Great job - we get to see Eagles fly over our pond from time to time.

This looks majestic on the back of the t-shirt. Like the soft backing you added.

Eagles do have a certain quality about them, don't they. Try using a piece of cotton-poplin fabric [trim with your pinking shears to stop fraying] as your stabilizer. It works just great with stretchy Tshirts. No scratchy bits!
