Purchased santa hats after christmas .25 cents ea. , they are fully lined with silky fabric. Easy to make. the handles are plastic tubing with ribbon run through I used Velcro to close them with after appliq. the initial on a piece of white satin.(Emb. does not do well on the fuzzy material of hat, buries itself) these are for Christmas 2013 for my 2 Great G. daughters Kapri and Abby/Lillian

Neat way to use the hat. Found a free Santa Hat Purse Tuturial on the Zippy site. The direct link didn't work so I typed in the search.

Great find. I made these for my GD's a couple of years ago and they loved them. Your GD's will too.
I have a box that I keep all the stuff I make for gifts to be given. Made the mistake once of hiding something and when the birthday came around, I couldn't remember where I hid it.

Boy I am glad I am not the only one who does such things !!

jerrib by jerrib 13 Feb 2013

We all just have so much on the go, and its so easy to forget the hiding places. My kids are on their own, so I don't need to hide them anymore, but still keep everything in the same spot...

lbrow by lbrow 13 Feb 2013

LOL I've done that on several occasions and would have to go and buy something else, now I have one Cedar chest that I put all gifts in as I make or buy them and that way I never lose them anymore. Problem is, sometimes I forget who I made what for. LOL Getting old is the pitts/Lillian

jerrib by jerrib 14 Feb 2013

Well there is an easy fix for that Lillian, just put a little note on the gift, then you will remember. I also make a list on my computer in excel and put the name and gift so I remember too. Yes getting old is the pits
