2013 challenge - all fabric gleaned from my scraps drawer - design from Cute Cross Stitch. My real challenge was to take Vida and Sue's ideas and combine them into one which could be accomplished totally in the hoop - including the zip and the velcro fastening. (Actually in one hooping if the outside was plain fabric.) This is really engineering with fabric and thread!

I love the soft earth tones on the inside, and the sturdy black to pull it all together. This is very well done, and took a lot of figuring outside the box... The fun of manipulating fabric.

Lovely result, Sue, lots of thinking gone into that one. That cross stitch design is just the right size. You gave an idea to look at borders too.
