This was made from some of the fleecy scraps that were donated to The Log Cabin Angels. I flat locked the bits together on my overlocker(serger) using different colours of Decor thread and embroidered kids stuff all over it.Then I backed it with flannel.

Ricky, what kind of serger do you have? Do you use your decor threads in the needles AND loopers?

Teri, I put the instruction on Community. You use normal overlocker thread for the needles and the lower looper.

This is one of many things that can be done on an overlocker( serger).I used Decor thread to join the bits of fleecy. Decor threads come in many colours. This technique if flat lock.

You did a great job - I was just commenting today that I need to take the "beast" out of the corner and try it again! I am talking about the serger - that thing scares me!

That is a beautiful and very clever way to use all those bits and pieces of fleece. I've bags full of them, too good to throw away, just waiting for something to be done with it. This is a grand idea. Thank you for sharing. Flower for you.

Have you got an overlocker? I think the Americans call them Sergers? The tension is changed on the overlocker so that the seam lies flat when the fabric is pulled slightly. If you want more detail, e-mail me.I will be very happy to help you.
