Thank you all for the wonderful comments on my bowl pads. Bunches of flowers and ((hugs)) for all of you!
Carolyn, about the Noodle Soup. Quick and easy. I use a whole chicken, take the skin and the fat off... Toss it in the pressure cooker with some water, celery, salt & pepper for 12 minutes, let it cool down on its own. De-bone the chicken. Drain the fat off the broth. I might add a couple cans of broth if needed. Add carrots, a little more celery, chicken chunks, cooked noodles, or maybe a few taters. I'm all about easy!
Have great weekend everyone!

I like your colors. Aren't these fun to do? Just got home from Walmart where I purchased moe cotton batting so I can make more.
The lady at Walmart asked if I was making a a baby quilt so I had to share with her what I was going to use batting for. I ended up drawing her a tutorial so she can go home and make some for herself..
Off tomorrow and these are on my "to-do " list .My husband and I have grits or oatmeal from the microwave nearly every morning . These are a definate neede item ! Thanks !
Love your fabric choice on these and you did great job. The soup looks good too!
I love this idea! Thank you mnladyus. We've been eating soup this week, and I need to make more for when the temps drop below zero again on Monday here in central MN. I plan on making a bunch of these so I can share them with my family.

Yup cold here in Minnesota. I have a home in both central and way up north in the deep freeze. Talking -35 with the wind tonight. My little Butch Dog better do his duty quick when he goes out tonight at midnight.
Oh I need a bowl of that soup right now. It looks sew good with your bowl holders. Very clever and sew much pretty than a dish towel.
Both the bowl and the soup look great. I have asked if anyone has made these for square bowls and if so can you give me the directions or links.
Here is the link to the tutorial for the Microwave Bowl Potholder.

Thank you for your prompt answer, powagrl! I am catching up after the silly season and can see I have a way to go, still. Best wishes for 2013!!
Great idea! Love the fabric choice! May I ask where you found the pattern, please? Best wishes for a Happy New Year and thank you for sharing.
Yes, mnladyus, the link does work! Thank you for your prompt answer. Best wishes for 2013!!
That's what I'm going to make - love the idea (the bowl hot pads that is - I already make homemade soup, but my chicken noodle is without the noodle as I can't have them) - just finished the last of the veg soup I had made and was wishing I'd gotten these made already!
They look excellent and are on my list to do as well. The soup looks yummy, too!
