Towels, towels, towels. It's cold and storming outside, so I decided it was time to finish up some old projects. I have been having difficulty trying to get towels nicely put into the the towel toppers I have purchased, so I've spent the last 3 days designing and perfecting my own. I've created a pattern that sews the towel inside the topper at the beginning of the project, instead of after everything is done. I will share the pattern and instructions. Attached are several photos of my initial trials (including some that I made with cuties and other purchased designs. The last 2 photos are my final design. Now only 20 more towels to go! :-)

wow these look lovely - we are also in the middle of a heatwave in south africa - i am eating lovely rum and raisin ice cream at the moment and reading mail and looking at everyones lovely projects - no good me starting anything today i have to work just now

Joyce, I wish I could send you snow and colder weather! I have been watching the news and the fires down there are crazy! Our news report just said they had cleaned enough snow from our city (250,000 people) to fill 188 olympic sized pools and I know none of that snow was taken away from the residential areas because I just took 4 feet off our deck yesterday Good luck with the fires. I should add i really like #2 the blue one and the big hole for hanging it up what is the white strap??I love to make towels and i give away many a year as love gifts carolyn

It looks like maybe strapping material. Like what use for making a strap for tote bag. With a snap. Maybe? that's my guess. they sure are all very nice.
