Another Dollar Tree special. A lady showed one and I thought I'd try it too. Very simple to do. Was very surprised at how easy it was.

Tell us what you did/ Did you buy the checkbook holder and then embroidery on it??

This is actually a journal. It isn't very thick. At least not as thick as it looks in the pic. I put tearaway on my 4x4 hoop and laied it so the bottom of the journal was resting inside of the hoop. You can use spray adhesive, but it really does keep it in place that well. I then held it in place with my hands until the stitching began, and then just gently kept it from moving. Really very very easy.

yes. We have a store here in the US where everything cost 1 USD. These aren't that big. 4x6.5".

Looks great. I'm curious how you did it

Thank you. It acutally isn't as thick as it looks in the picture. I hooped tearaway and laid the book to rest in the hoop and holding it gently until it started stitching. Then I just casually made sure it didn't shift around any. Really was simple.

Thanks Shirlene. Sure These aren't as thick as they look in the picture. What I did was hooped tearaway and then using the 4x4 I placed the journal on the 4x4 and held it in place with my hands until it started stitching. Then just gently kept it in place. It was really so simple. I did make sure that the bottom of the journal rested within the inside of the hoop so it would stay better.

You can be a little apprehensive using embroidery on a medium that is more dense than we usually work on. This worked out nice for you.

Thanks Anita, It isn't as thick as it appears. I think that is why they worked so well
