Rag baby quilt for my daughter's friend. I made one just like this 5 years ago for my granddaughter & I had enough fabric to make a second one. On the corner of the blanket I machine embroidered the baby's name & DOB. One side of the quilt is pink & green & the other is lavender & green.

Cogratulations! Mine is a UFO in one of my bins.I started it about 2 years ago, a John Deer tractor quilt. Maybe IF I ever finish it, I will post mine too. Until then, I commend you on a lot of hard work.It is very nice-Toogie

Thanks, No, it didn't take long. I started & finished in 1 day at a quilt retreat.

these are great, but hard on the hands when it comes to cutting through all the layers!

& boy are they soft!

becki316 by becki316 27 Feb 2012

They are hard on the hands, I have to cut them a little at a time or I get cramps & blisters, but the end results is worth the pain. LOL!

there is a special snippers for rag rugs,Fiskars makes them and they are spring loaded. Easier on the hands than scissors

becki316 by becki316 28 Feb 2012

I have some of those, but they don't cut all the way to the tip very well. I have come scissors from Cotton Theory that are heavy duty & cut though to the tip, just not spring loaded. :(
