I just had to share this with you,

After my friends daughter saw the acorn hair slides she asked if i could make some to fit her skull cap as she has no hair. This is what i came up with after brousing the web for ages.
large rabbit ears.
when i gave them to her she was overjoyed and now has bit grin on her face, I would not upload a photo of her but you can imagine how it made me feel to see that smile. now she wants pixie ears so if anyone can digitise a set of pointed pixie ears then i would be very greatfull to them,
you can see the difference between the normal sized clip slides and the ears,
the ears are just 4 inches long by 2.25 wide.
And here was me thinking i had finished sewing. just how wrong could i be.
Oh yes i actualy made six sets so the others will be going to the hospice shop for them to sell. It will be fun to see children going around town wearing them.
I have now run out of white and pink felt so will have to hang on till the sales in the hope of getting more.Perhaps you could do something like this for your childrens hospice.
the design came from
www.DigiStitches.com
and can be found in the felt slide section. Merry Christmas every one.

just seen it Mops have added comment but thank you so much. it will be nice if the center could be appliqued so a different colour fabric used for the inner ear like the rabbit one and as i use felt the one row of stitching will be ok as long as a stop it placed on it.
again many thanks for your hard work and generosity.

Oh Yes I was thinking wings like small FSL. A small flower done on quilters cotton so the edge can fringe. The kids are going to love them. LOL they could be like trading cards. thanks for the idea

Annie, what an awesome job you did with the bunny ears!
You have inspired me to get more active in my community.
We lost two grandchildren a couple years back, and I know I could make "premie" items to the unit where the children were born.
Thank you for the inspiration! Happy Holidays!
Hugs, Bonnie

bonnie giving to someone you will never meet is a true gift from the heart so you go and make a few things for those special ones you will never meet them but it is no matter. there are many places you can get free premie patterns from on the web. go and have fun and enjoy that special feeing money cannot buy. annie

bonnie I make a premie gown that I modified so I could do it with my serger.
I elongated some of the curves. I also make a matching blanket. They are taken to a local hospital to be given to parents
to take home the babies. The group I take
them to furnishes the flannel(usually ugly). Others do booties and hats. It is a good feeling to help others.old/maureen

I'd call it Divine Inspiration... for surely you are an angel for making these for the children. I know its a bit late now, but what about making elf ears for the holidays, too? Something to think about for next year? I love them... well done!

Annie, I'll give it a go. Can't promise to do it before Christmas, have the builders in tomorrow and the day after, that leaves Saturday for mopping up and cleaning after them. Have a nice Christmas!
