This is how I spent my birthday today, organizing/playing with, my fabric. I have 4 cabinets like this in my sewing room, which leads me to save more fabric than I can possibly use. I love to look at it so I guess it's ok! I was feeling bad about it until I saw Noah's post about having 50 yards of bear fabic...it's all good!

Lovely!!! I'd rather go to a craft/hobby/sewing/knitting shop any day of the week and find 'collecting' very satisfying.

I love the smell, touch, and look of fabric. Working with it always lifts my spirits. I sew for family, friends, church groups, schools, etc. With most of my children grown and gone, it adds purpose to my days, and allows me to do for others. I count all of the above as great blessings. Therefore, my fabric is just one of the tools I need to accomplish those other goods. Justified!!

Great stash!!! I wish I had mine organized. My daughter laughs everytime I buy fabric. She'll probably throw it away when I die, but it sure does give me pleasure. lol

Happy birthday. Iam suree it is just as addictive to collect fabrics as embroidery patterns. I also have stacks and stacks, all colour sorted in transparent boxes. Love the look of it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I can't think of a better way to spend "your special day" than being surrounded by fabric! Unless it is creating something wonderful with the stuff! I wish I could spend time with my stash, but it is in storage until my house is sold. :-( Hugs and *'s

Have a wonderful &blessed birthday. I suppose artists collect paints& art tools so you have another form of art. I decided to donate some unused fabrics. Enjoy the colorful project possibilities.:~D

So neat and organized. Happy Birthday to you! My DH's birthday is today also. Normally the birthday person gets to choose what restaurant they want to go to but our daughter still has wires coming out the bottom of her foot (out in 1 1/2 weeks) so I made him a favorite dinner and backed him a cake.

Hapy Birhtday - what a great supply of fabric - I would be thrilled with just one of these - but you have 4 cabinets full - I hope you have lots of things to make soon. This looks wonderfully organized.
