Recently I received an email from Louise at CSS with a request to send an angel to one of her testers whose DH passed away. So here's what I came up with. This is the February 2011 angel from her group. They're pretty small 2.31x2.41...I guess they could be considered 'pocket angels'. Each took about 20 minutes to stitch. I had a lot of fun playing with different colors for the wings and body. They were digitized as one color designs, but after the first one stitched, and I saw the wings stitched complete first, I stopped my machine and changed to another color for the body. There is a larger angel to match that's 3.65x3.80 and I hope to get some of those done later. Anywho one of these and a card will be flying to Canada in tomorrows mail.I hope Louise's tester receives a bunch of angels to know she's being thought of and prayers are being said for her as she goes through this difficult time in her life. The sad thing is she has no children, but a niece she's really close to, so that is comforting to know.

Thank you! You know I love angels and most all I make go to new homes. The purple one went to Canada today and the others in my baggie for my purse to give to people I meet out and about. Sure is fun!!
Hugs!!!

Can you please share the yahoo group link - so that we can join in and stitch out one or more of these for Louise's tester?

This is a very cute little angel and I love the different threads you have used.

Oops. I forgot again to post the link.
After you join, have a look in the file area. I think there are more angels from previous years. I have all her 2009-2010 angels and most are FSL. She's got several up for 2011 and is going to upload June soon.
Hope this helps.
Hugs.

What a cute little angel. Like how you changed up the wings. I'm sure your angel will help lift up this testers spirits. It's difficult to get over the loss of a loved one.

Thanks bunches! I hope somehow it helps her feel a bit better. And yes it's the loss of a loved one is something I find very difficult to get over, some days are harder than others as the years go by.
