My first try to do this. NO sewing involved. It has more impact if you use contrasting colours. All I had though

Yes tippi you use fleec material for this in 2 diff colours. 1m x 1m or 1.5m x 1.5m. Lay on top of each other with wrong sides together and the fleece with pattern/embroidery on the bottom. Dont stretch fleece but "brush" it and work on flat surface. Cut corners 8.5cm x 8.5cm and then 7.5cm "fingers", cutting from both sides. Fold all fingers over and make a VERY SMALL cut right on fold(should go through both layers.) Put fingers back. Take top finger and pull through little hole. Take finger that is now on top, look for the little hole in bottom finger and pull through. AND THERE YOU ARE.

Very nice. You will have to tell us how you did this. I see you used 2 layers of fabric. What is your fabric? and how wide did you cut your fringe?

I have seen it done& actuall made one with fleece. Usually the bottom side is a contrasting color for more impact, but I think it looks nice here too.As far as the width, use your own judgement, I can't remember how much I did my g-sons. I have seen the fringe tied in a knot, the 2 sides together, but I can't tell if Marthie did.-Toogie
