Is it just the way it was photographed that there is a blue tinge around the turtle, is the fabric really a light blue or did you do it? I really like it...was wondering if it can be done with somekind of a spot dye wash.

yes, it is a "normal" colour pencil for aquarell art drawings. Tried on a scrap first and the colour stayed with warm handwasch. Learned the trick from a quilting buddy ;-)
