This is lovely Kkcogle. Do you put in a gusset to make bag wider or just sew front and back straight together?
the placemat side seams are sewn straight, but then I fold the corner in and sew, creating the boxed edged at the bottom.
Been searching for this design pack think the designs are just so adorable wanted to put them on a dress for my little neice, but haven't found them...did find the one with wheelbarrow on e.bay similar...any help???
I realized this weekend, that these actually came from Eileens Digi Delights...not Sew Snazzee. Yes...ebay is where I got them. I had found another set by Digi Delights that I wanted and when I looked into her other auctions, there were these! I had them labeled wrong in my computer...sorry! Take a look at Eileens other sets. Right now, she is resizing her little girl silhouettes for me into 5X7 size. She sent a file for me to test and it stitched out so cute! Have fun, this is a very cute set!
Kim, I was in Joannes today, buying remnants as usual and asked lady in home decor fabrics about pricing purses. She said one lady that is a regular and makes and sells purses with monograms get $40. to $60. for her bags. She gets $10. for a monogram on personal items. Look at those Vera Bradley bags and price a little under them. Good luck sweetie and keep us posted.
thanks for the info! I'm thinking on this purse, close to $30.00...and I really appreciate the tip on the Vera Bradley pricing. I will take a look at some and see what they are going for. Personally, I think mine are just as cute! lol Thanks again...
What an adorable bag and love the garden girls, they really are so CUTE and I wish I could make a bag like that. The color combination is really nice. I also say KEEP IT - LOL. ****4u
Your bag is beautiful. I know when I have gone to Craft Shows . the pricing is the hardest task. We put a lot of work into an item and sometimes some people don't appreciate our work & the price. Don't sell for to cheap . You can always use for yourself or as gifts. Good Luck . A flower for you.
This is a lovely bag. I find pricing he most difficult thing. People often say things like: Oh, you have one of those machines that do it for you, all by themselves. Well, we know better, don't we. People often seem to value things by its price, not by quality or looks, so don't put too low a price on it.
funny...I was showing my Aunt the software for my Viking. Showed her VERY simply, how to put together two designs and add a word. Nothing went together...looked terrible...but it was just to show her. She then says...something like..."wow! that does EVERYTHING for you...and I thought YOU did it all and was giving you all the glory!" (well, my words...but that's how I took it!) I'm thinking to myself...if you only knew HOW long it can take me to put the design together, find the right fabric and then sew it out....hhhmmmmm!!!! Maybe I made it look TOO easy?!?!?
I love it .Which I had the design You never get your money back The work is done for love !!It is so cute how can you part from it !!
Great bag, love the bright lining and backing also. agree with everyone else KEEP IT!!!The garden girls are the greatest love them.
I wonder if those are the garden bonnets I have. They look lovely stitched up. I love this bag. Gr8 trim and that's my type of closure too. *4U
If i saw a bag like thisone on a market I would pay easely € 10,= for it. In dollars about $15. And I wouldn't give it away for a lower price. Good luck on the market
Oh I wouldn't sell this beauty... I'd keep it all to myself. ;-)
it sure is tempting! thank goodness, I bought a few extra of these placemats last week....and will clean Walmart out of the rest THIS week!
Kim your bags are just so cute, how can you part with them ?? Don't give them away, if they want it badly enough they'll pay the price. We never ask enough to compensate us for the work we put into our craft...*4U
I agree, we don't seem to get enough sometimes for our work. I also make soap, candles, lotion and sell each week at the Farmers Market here in town. I finally feel that I have the pricing on my bath & body stuff in check...now to add these...I don't know! But...you are so right, I'm not going to give them away! If they want them...they will buy...I guess!
Kim, this purse is just too cute. If I had this bag, I think I would keep it for myself. I agree with shirlener, put a higher price on it.
Kim, lovely bag and the cute little garden girls are so sweet - I wished I had them - might have put them on the wish list, I guess for the future. What are you charging for the other bags? Don't you just hate it - when you stitch something out and love it? Knowing that you have to put in with the others? Well, put a higher price on it and then you might still have it afterward or someone will pick it up - appreciating that they got the best one and then you will just have to make another later. Hehehe! *4U and the diva's.
right now, I'm at a loss on pricing. I think I'll check out etsy to see what things are going for over there....or ebay. These really don't take too long to make...the embroidery takes the longest, of course, and then putting them together is rather quick. I always figure that I can make another one for myself...and if they don't sell, I'll have a new purse each week for the summer!
