A friend told me a few years ago of a bag you can bake potatoes in in the microwave. Never made one until today, when I finally searched for some instructions thru Google one the net. Funny, I had the exact design a while and thought about it last few weeks. Instructions found here: http://www.atimetostitch.com/pota... At the top of the page is link to "Freebies" where you can get the emb design. I omitted color #4 because of the "Potato" fabric I used. ><>

To whoever wondered how well this bag really worked, it worked gr8. About 6 1/2 - 7 mins for 2 smaller spuds (flip 1/2 way nuking time) and watch out for steam when you open bag. I love it and can now see doing more as gifts etc. Enjoy.

Super cool idea (well, or super warm, if it bakes potatoes, hee hee hee)! Please let us know if it actually works, I love baked potatoes, but hate the way you have to fool with them in the nuker, & too cheap to turn on the whole oven for 2 spuds. I love your choice of 'potato' fabric! Marji

Thank you Anna. My micro is on a shelf above the sink and kinda sticks out. Not good. One day the glass plate fell out and I went to catch it as it hit the sink and shattered every where cutting open my hand at the base of middle finger (shoulda had stitches but husband wouldn't take me to hospital). Permanent scar there now.

Thanks for sharing this, I saw the bag also on this page but didn't know this was for baking patatoes. Thought the bag was for saving patatoes but then the bag is rather small. We are never too old to learn. Thank you

Thank you. Last nite when I showed my husband he said"Now I know you've lost it". But today when he saw it in my room, he asks "How many have you made? How much would it cost to make?" Thinking another thing I could make to sell. *4U

So cute. I did go and download the directions. My state (Idaho USA) is known for the Idaho Potato. I can make some of these for girls at work. Thanks for the idea of the lovely picture of yours.
