Wow - brought to the top again. This was given to my daughter two years ago, and she has it in her glass curio along with her collection of depression glass. Those of you wanting to try this, please make sure that you download the instructions. It saved me from mistakes, I know.
for me this model is a puzzle but it is very nice thank you for the experience turned out well
Nice try. The more you make the better you are at fitting them together. Havn't made this one yet.
I am about to give this a try. Wish me luck. Downlaod for free from suebox.com
It's beautiful! But, I must admit it loooks confusing to me, as well. Congratulations on figuring it out and making a lovely bowl!
Ahhhhhh Dionna, You did this one too, good job! I didn't find it too hard to attach and drying was pretty easy if you force it onto an upside down bowl to dry. Funny but I too did mine in the same color that I call Antique.
Ahhhhh Dlonna, You did this as well, great job. Actually if you wash it then just force down onto a bowl of this size it will dry beautifully, it did for me anyway... Funny but I too did mine in the same color that I call antique.
Pretty. Glad you mastered it. Have you looked at Sue's project page?
Wow - someone brought this back to the top. Thank you all for your kind words. I still have not stiched another one out, but so many designs, and so little time. Hugs to you all.
Looks great! I love FSL - I will have to give this one a try sometime. I so many other projects in line to do though. This one is a beauty!
I asked u more Q's down below... But I wanted to give u another big (((HUG))) for all u'r help... Thanx again...
Sam :)
You did a beautiful job at putting this bowl together. I hope your daughter was very pleased with it. thanks for sharing
I stitched out that design as one of my first FSL projects. I stitched out 6 panels and made a doily instead of the bowl. The bowl makes a lovely easter basket.
Beautifull, indeed! I think it's worth every minute you spent trying to put it together! Well done!***
dlonnahawkins, thank you ever so much for clearing up my unsolved mistery, I looked at this piece often and could not get it! Your bowl turned out beautyfully!
I was tring to find it, but couldn't find it and couldnt find the freebies sect & also the instrut sect as-well... Need help please...
Sam :)
Hi Sam, Following is the link http://www.suebox.com/. This bowl is on the home page just scroll down and you will see it and the download button. Sue also has other freebies within her design pages, you need to go to each design page and scroll down to find the freebie. The instructions are part of the download. You need a water soluable stabilizer (WSS) to embroider FSL (free standing lace) on. Hope this helps.
Cheers, Claire
TYVM... I fig-out what I was doing wrong! It's such a beautiful design... I got it now!!! he he he... This will be my first FSL design to try out... Also, What makes it so stiff? Do U have to starch it? or is it stiff on its own? Again, TYVM...
Sam :)
ciao sono terry,la coppa è bellissima,ma mi dispiace molto, non sò parlare l'inglese,mi piacerebbe moltissimo avere il ricamo,.
Sei brava ciao
dlonnahawkins, Very elegant...and lovely work! Wouldn't have guessed you weren't good at puzzles.
A flower for U!
Absolutely beautiful! I really want to try this kind of embroidery, but haven't got up the courage yet. It really does look like a puzzle and a beautiful one at that. I'm not sure about the flowers, but I would be happy to give you some also. Great Job, Mary
Hi Mary to give someone a flower for their project or design all you need to do is left click with your mouse on the flower, when its colour changes to orange (and the count should increase too) you have given them a flower! Cheers, Claire
What a beautiful bowl. Well done!
I think I would be seeing double, or triple after trying to put it together.
It is very nice I also have and will try to do it.Flower for you
I have six pieces done, but can not open up the document to read how to put it tgtr. Could you help me some here pls?! Hints, ideas, suggestions.. Thank you Blessings
Check your Email - I did it by hand. It takes 5 sections. Start at the bottom, and follow the instructions at the recommended join areas.
dlonna, it LQQKs like you made most of us wonder why we had not stitched this pretty bowl out. HaHa A flower for you great workmanship.
I didn't realize it was a 'puzzle bowl' lol But you did a wonderful job, I think now I will also do it!
It has been lying on my PC waiting to be used. Flowers 4U
Your bowl may have been a challenge to put together but turned out beautiful. Know your daughter loves it. A flower for you.
dlonna, this is wonderful - I have this design and knew that you had to stitch out three of the one design and wondered how it went together - thanks for trying it out - any hints or help with the contruction? Hehehe! Now, you make one for yourself - because your daughter has this one and she will treasure it. *4U
I did it by hand. Did one section upside down, and had to take out. I think that it was five sections. Start at the bottom, and you only join at certain points. I think that I went back to the site and downloaded the directions - I sure needed them!
Lovely! Looks like it could be puzzling but you got it perfect. *4U
looks fantastic! you deserve a lovely bunch of spring flowers
It looks like it could be a puzzle too. But I'm into puzzles, so think I will give it a whirl. TY *4U
