Well... it is as done as it is going to get for now - its on its way with her to the plane!! The only piece left undone is the quilt label. Meganne was kind enough to add stitching to it for me so I could applique it on - but my mother helped me so much I wanted to add her name to it as well. I never would have finished without her help and she would never have agreed tp put her name on it - so I waited until she left this am to begin editing the file. I was so tired I fell asleep right there in front of the computer. But - Alice was so excited to have a blankie. I've included a link ( I think) to the quilt top picture and this is a close up of the files I used to embroider it together (crosses around the border and hearts on each signature square in the middle). I did not use the ribbon - decided against it. I am very tired, but I believe I gained as much from this as she will. I prayed for each family that signed a square as I was ironing or sewing it. Spending 3 days in near solitude, with a lot of prayer time is an incredibly unique and rewarding experience!!
