I've looked at several of these online, but NOTHING as nice as what your hubby did. I agree, you should keep him.

Could you show the whole thread holder? Or maybe show how it stands/connects? I would love to try to make one for myself! Flowers for you!

Not that I could make myself and was thinking along that line. Just have to figure out how to clamp to a plastic folding table or size of "stable" enough base?!?! *4U

joanie, all you need are the right size "C" clamps or small bar clamps. Available at any hardware store. Just macke sure they open wide enough to fit the table and rack base inside.

maryjo by maryjo 15 Apr 2008

MACKE??????????? Don't know where that came from.

Great idea and so much cheaper than store bought things that hold less spools. You see I'm still catching up on past projects!

Good on your DH, raels, I use my thread holders at the front of my machine, I find it works good and I don't have to keep leaning over the machine to change colors - lazy me!!! Hugs and a flower sweetie.

Super.I have two threadstands I made to hold serger cones,One for each emb. machine. The ones I made only hold three spools each. But when I'm doing something that uses more colors I put them next to each other on my table and sew from both. And what would this have cost you in a store???? I love DIY accessories.
