Dianne, so sorry, I'm sure I wrote here when you first posted this, but just realised I didn't - not sure what happened. Your quilt is absolutely stunning and you definitely deserve all these flowers and more. You have one very lucky sister! Hugs and a flower for you sweetie.
Isn't it just awesome! I would love to be able to make something even half as beautiful as this. Another rose seems so little for such beauty but i finally got to add one more. M
Breathtaking. You do awesome work. Your sister is lucky to have such a talented sibling.
This is the most beautiful quilt that I have seen, and you do really beautiful work. I am sure your sister will treasure it forever. A flower for you.
This Quilt is spectactular . There is no doubt about it You should enter this in a Quilt Show and I know you would win a Blue Ribbon. It is so realistic. Many poppies for you.
That is the most beautiful piece of art. you have a very lucky sister. You should enter this in many art contests.
WOW, what great workmanship. I wished I were your sister. Amazing. A bouquet of flowers, are not enough for this one.
Like "lhart" stated I thought the quilt was hanging on the wall behind the items below it. It is incredible to know the items below the quilt are actually part of the quilt. I am still looking at it and trying to figure it out. STUNNING PIECE OF WORK!!!!
Hi :-)..No all you see is either Applique(cat..poppies..little bear..the picture is an embroidery from http://www.bfc-creations.com/Desi...
which has been sewn out then appliqued on)or Embroidery Thankyou Dianne
This is fantastic - looks just like you are looking out a window! Do you want to teach a class in this? Would love to try it!
Absolutely FANTASTIC! Your window can compete with Tiffany's stained glass! What a wonderful imagination! My sincere compliments! You deserve not a flower but a whole bunch!
Congratulations for your super quilt, its really stunning. You have great talent, a well deserved flower for you
I just wanted to add that years ago I went to a quilt class and it was the most scaryist thing I couldn't get anything Right so I went home in tears.. :-(
Then I decided to do what I wanted to do and if I did it wrong then "tuff" so I taught myself..like this ..I got a picture had it photocopied to the size I wanted.Traced it onto Iron on..cut out the sections..chose fabric to fit the picture and used the Applique stitch on my machine to sew it back together onto calico ..then wadding and baking fabric and you have done it...Have a go you never know..and it coud be addictive...Dianne
This is absolutely gorgeous. The detail is so realistic. I bet it's hard to give away, even to a wonderful sister.
Thankyou..I only make these kind of things for gifts for Family or friends ..so I start with what reminds me of them so giving them is all part of the journey...I have never showed my work to anyone else before ..so I thankyou all ..Dianne
Stunning!! Yes, you should enter this in a contest, you would win for sure. Sorry I can only give one flower for this, it's amazing. Marji

You can sit by me anytime..but I must tell you I seem to be always in a mess though with fabric every where..I love to do Pictures in fabric, and the right fabric is the key the rest putting it all together like a puzzle and with all the lovely fabrics and threads ect the choices are endless thankyou Dianne

Dianne, I hope you don't mind I saved a picture of this in my quilt files - but I just couldn't sit on it - I sent it to a friend to show her what you had done and she wants to have her daughter write to you - is there a way that we can do that - my email is on AOL the same as here.
