Here is a picture of a very special quilt. At the end of 2008, I collapsed and was in a critical condition following a brain aneurism. While in hospital recuperating from brain surgery, members from the Australian Sewing Guild sent in squares with embroidered words of encouragement and prayers. A special lady in my sewing group pieced them together. Each square has their name on it and a message for me. I will treasure this always.

Very nice. This will always be a treasure for you. You got through a horrible scare/illness and this was given in love to you while you were recooperating. What a wonderful gift of love and caring from special friends. A quilt is a lifetime gift that most times last through several generations. This is a show of your friends love for you and it will be a reminder for you and your family how important life and friends are.

OH yes, what a special quilt - it must have been so touching to receive during your recovery process - you had to have gained so much love for each of the ladies when you were wrapped in it. Thanks for sharing it - it is lovely work.
