My mom, sisters and I used to do this type of embroidery when we lived in Japan in the 60's-70's. I loved it, but had not seen it since then. Thanks for showing the beautiful design. And thank you Alex71 for the link!

I just absolutely adore this Shaz - it looks so real. I have a Sheltie called Bella who is of course a Sable and she would look lovely done like this.

Does this take a long time to do and is it done by hand or machine? Stunning!
