When I saw the cute label that mops had on her doll that she digitized, embroidered, and shared with us(Thank-you so much, mops)I thought, "I gotta get me some of those." Well, I have always loved to work out challenges. Isn't it a part we all enjoy? Sense of accomplishment, anyone? Anyway, I have a printer that is at least 10 years old, and a Printshop edition that is certainly as old.

I made myself some label templates in Printshop. That was lots of fun. I'm an old dog and I love learning new tricks. I took a piece of cardstock, very lightly sprayed with some of my temporary embroidery spray, placed a piece of fabric on the cardstock. I then cut the fabric to the size of the cardstock. Next, I basted around the fabric attached to the cardstock to make sure that my fabric would be .....continued on next photo

That's a good question. I'll have to experiment with that. These were for items that will not be washed.

After see Martine's label, I googled a lot about making your own. It came up with several tecniques, but I will try yours. Thank you for sharing, you are a creative lady! Love, Yoriko

Thank-you. It worked for me. Mostly, I just didn't want to spend any extra money so I tried to use the items I had on hand.

Thank-you. I wanted them to give a finished look to my projects, but these are only for family and friends since I do not do embroider as a business.

They look great and it's a lot of work. Well done. I just ordered them and the text is woven in. I've only a few left, so maybe I'll follow your example...

Thanks, mops. I love you for sparking my imagination. It didn't seem like so much work to me. Fabric on cardboard, fabric through printer, rotary cut off basting stitches, iron on another piece of fabric to back, rotary cut labels. Done.

Thank-you. I was just so excited with the end results, that I wanted to share. So many people on this site share so much and I don't know how to digitize yet, but I did have this idea....

Very good brain storming and coming up with a very good product. I'm sure you'll design many more to match or compliment your work.

You speak with experience. I've already been fooling around with more templates. Working in my den fills my day with purpose.
