Great gift and I wouldn't mind to get the present with the white in the seam. :0)
have you thought of using Pinking scissors for edge. vickiannette
I personally would not cut white away from red around the outside, it looks effective like that, but if you did use very sharp sissors. Sometimes I have put fray-stop around edge of red then cut away...it protects your stitching so you don't cut it....it looks lovely anyway...
Precious cover and no, we get to use the "artistic license" excuse for whatever we do! I just use a seam ripper to do my cutting or my VERY sharp tipped Havel squeezers.
Suzette, your design is beautiful, for the holes you can also use a buttonhole cutter, and then cut away as much as you can with the tip of your embroidery scissors.
It looks very pretty. I am a bit lazy and usually forget about holes for the ribbon. I secure the thing with a rubber band and then tie a ribbon around. And I can use the embroidered circle on jars of different diameter. I love your cherry design. Yesterday I made six jars of blackberry jam, now I have to find a nice blackberry design as I intend to use some as presents.
Thanks for alternative idea. Will look for blackberry design. Goodness, you girls know how to make the best of time!
Suzette, this is lovely - I don't think you would have to cut that white away - it looks great like this - have you thought of using a punch for your holes? Where did you get this cute design? *4U Shirlene
