I made this little cut work doily yesterday. It was a freebie from s.embroidery. I have made 3 of these so far!!

Very nice!
What kind of fabric do you use for doily... and do you wash them before embroidery? Or is it better to wait for washing until to have the doily finished?

Thankyou. You can use any kind of fabric.
I wash it after the embroidery, but if you use calico you shoud was that first as it shrinks...
