Treasured Memories of my Darling Grandson,Kai , who was tragically killed on New Years Eve last year. He was only 11 years old . I've made this for my daughter Peta, to wrap herself in his love and arms for always. I've incorporated photos on the back too. Photos of school, Santa and his love, Motocross.

Roslyn, this must have been very hard for you to do. It turned out very beautiful and will give your daughter and you a good feeling.

Thank you Iris. Yes it was hard. Lots of tears, Many memories. My daughter loved it and she takes it to bed with her. We find her loss and ours too so much. Not a day goes by that we don't shed a tear for Kai. How Peta gets out of bed every day and goes to work, I don't know.

Roslyn - what a wonderful tribute to your GS and for your daughter. I know that you probably shed many tears making this. I got tears reading about it. This was truly a labor of love.

Dear Roslyn, what a tragedy to have happen. Perhaps this quilt was THE reason your sewing/quilting journey started. This is truly a labor of love and I know it must have been both healing and heart wrenching to make. Prayers for both you and Peta and the rest of the family on this upcoming holiday season. God bless.

I know the pain your daughter is going thru, as I lost a nephew 4 years ago, Having those pictures in that wonderful quilt will make her feel so much closer to him. Blessings to you and your family.

Rossie, it turned out lovely. We will always remember Kai, such a darling. Peta is going to love it and I know it is a suprise for her. Such a labour of love indeed. Know you have been working hard on it lately. Nice to see it finished.
Truely a treasure for your family.

Oh my Rossie, what a lovely tribute to your GS, Kai - such a very young guy to have spent such a short time - but the love you put into this and all the love that he had for your Peta - will in fact come through to her - when she wraps it around her. You are such a great quilter, too. *4U

Thank you shirlene. All the lovely comments . He was "Grandma's sweetheart" and Grandpa's "shadow" from the time he could walk and talk. Now we are coming up to the 1st Anniversary.I should write the poem that Peta's school friend wrote for her. When I compose my self later I'll do it. Thanks again
