For those of you who wanted to know what frame quilting is, here is my frame. I stand in front and trace the pattern on the top shelf with a laser light. The sewing machine moves on a carriage and stitches as I move. It sounds complicated but it's a lot easier than it sounds. Hardest, or most tedious part is loading the fabrics on the rollers. After that's done it's pretty simple. Of course I haven't done anything really fancy yet. My frame is set up half size at 5', it can be extended to 10' but I'm not ready for that yet. This piece has no backing because it will be used for a bag.

You can say that again. I did quilts for my 8 grandkids and 2 great nephews on my Pfaff 2170. Just did stitch in the ditch. It was so difficult moving the fabric through the harp I swore I'd never do another quilt. Now I have no excuse not to.

ok I'm jealous, it looks great, did you buy the set up or put it together yourself. Your machine or does it comes with the frame. I've been looking and looking. Not sure whether to buy the stitch regulator or the whole darn thing. :-)

I bought the whole set up together. It was preowned. It included the Viking Mega Quilter, Inspira frame, Quilters Cruise Control and everything else I needed to start quilting. Even a whole book full of the pantographs. Those are the patterns you use to make the stitches. Also zippered leaders and the tools needed for set up.
