Eraine told me not to worry about making any gifts if I was sure I wasn't going. I can't go but I told her, no problem, if I can make them in time I will. She said everybody asks if I'm going or they say they want me to go. I think they enjoy the gifts more than me-lol

I am glad I had the towel already embroidered and just had to make the topper. I forgot I had embroidered these before our trips came to a halt. My daughter found them when she asked if I was making gifts again for our family reunion bbq. I had told her I was trying to finish the bus trip gifts but she found these 4 and 4 potholders so that gave me a start. I only have this week to finish for our bbq Saturday.

Hi! When I sew these gifts they are for bus trips. Hubby's nephew's wife Eraine, I call her my niece, charters the trips. We usually have 35-40 on the bus and I usually make 2 gifts each. We play games to pass the travel time on the interstates between places. Some of our trips have included going by air and then bus, like one of our trips to Canada. We flew to Maine and had a bus waiting for us at the airport. We then traveled to Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, etc on the bus for 10 days I believe. Then the bus to us back to the airport and we flew home. Nephew owned 3 buses of his own, at one time, but has since sold them. His wife now works through another bus company when she wants to or charters the bus, driver, hotels, entertainment, etc herself.

I don't know how much rest I will get before the bbq. I will be going everyday this week to my daughters to stay with the kids while her husband works and she is driving the church youth group to camp. Then the day of, I will be busy cooking. I had an order/request from a brother-in-law for my banana pudding, my granddaughter Nora wants Coleslaw and another request for potato salad from hubby. I don't care who wants baked beans but it's too hot here to turn the oven on-lol No, you're right I won't be on this trip but thanks.

Thank you Sonja. I just say I’m mostly having fun. I don’t like repeating making same things, but don’t have very many new ideas. I think I have 9 of these made now.

Lol- someone just called me to make a memory pillow with her brothers shirt. I asked her when she needed it bc I’m swamped right now. She said no time limit, no rush so after the 8th or 13th. That’s our bbq and next QOV presentation although my quilts are ready for that. I just have to make for our ‘4th’ on the 8th-lol- or borrow from bus gifts. I just looked so I have almost all month to finish those gifts since the trip is the 30th. Thanks!

K, when I first started embroidering, his was one of my first sites I found after getting on Cute. Someone here directed us to it. He had many designs I still use. Hope you are feeling better and stronger each day.

I'm not going this trip, unfortunately. South Carolina sounds cooler than here, heck anywhere is probably cooler-lol. Maybe next trip I can go. Thanks for looking and I just hope I get them all done in time!
