Chris, you are a warrior, and glad that you can keep busy.
I know what you are going through with your mother. It is hard to see them deteriorate and be so confused. We were just informed that my husband's oldest sister has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, but I noticed changes with her some time ago.
I am glad that you have an early start on great items for your Church Fete.
Hi Dlonna, thanks for your comments. Yes, it's hard watching her deteriorate like she is, but I have to keep her spirits up. I've got lots more done since posting these items. Love Chris
Happy you are keeping going. Always on my prayer list. These items are amazing.
So pleased that you are feeling well. Wow you have even been busy. I have not even looked at my machine as we are experiencing May power failures.
Hi Sarah, sorry to read you are still having to deal with power failures. That would really make me peeved!!!! Hope you can get back soon to what we love doing. Love Chris
Everything looks so sharp and colorful, great job you are doing for the Church fete. Glad you are feeling fine, take good care of yourself. Hugs Roberta
Thanks Roberta, I'm actually lying on top of my bed answering this post as I relax after my treatment this afternoon. Love Chris
Dear Chris, I have been so concerned about you and have been checking daily for updates. I am so happy to hear that you are feeling OK. I know with your FAITH, STRENGTH and TENACITY, that you will conquer this and knock it out of the park. WE are all standing together on this. I wish you the best.
Hi Coral, thanks for your good wishes etc. I am fine and so glad it was found early. All I could think of was my best friend dying of this disease and I didn't want to face what she had to go through. Love Chris
Those are so lovely, Would hate to have to pick a favorite. Everyone will love them.
Heart goes out to you, we have gone through same with family. Prays your way.
Thanks so much Worthy for your prayers, you know what it is like. Love Chris
Great assortment of lovely items, Chris.. I am sure they will be popular!
Hi Kim, I'm hoping so too. If there are things left over we can sell that them at our Christmas market which will be here before we know it!! Love Chris
Wow, Chris....you have stayed busy and like so many of us this keeps us mentally going while sometimes struggling with other matters......So happy you are able to continue producing beautiful projects!!🥰🥰
Hi Vicki, you hit the nail on the head!!! No-one knows what another person is going through unless they are willing to talk about it. Thank God for family and good friends who are willing to walk beside you during your journey. Love Chris
What a beautiful assortment of goodies you have stitched out for the church fete. I'm glad you are doing so well with your radiation. The biggest issue I had was thanks to my chronic vertigo. So keep making your way through the appointments and know we are praying and cheering for you.
Hello Karen, thanks for the positive comments, thoughts and prayers. It's great to know I've got yours and other people praying for me.
I'm going remarkably well, thanks to the quick action of my professional medical team. Medical technology has certainly come a long way in the past 15 years etc. My best friend died from Breast Cancer only 13 years ago, her treatment wasn't as good as what I'm getting today.
I'm glad I've only got 6 tx's to go yeah!! Love Chris
Looking Great as Always..Glad on the road to Recovery..Sad when they cant remember But You Know You are..Wishing you Lots o Strength and BlessingsXX
Thank you Sonja, yes, it's sad, but you keep on being positive and I just give Mum a hug and laugh at some of the funny things she says. Love Chris
I love all your projects and I am sure they will sell out. What is the roll with the pink tie? I too have cut down on the visits to my sister Sandy. Sometimes I feel guilty of not going 3-4 times a week. It is heartbreaking when they don't remember who you are. I am glad you are feeling well! Are you almost done with your treatments? Sending love, Suzanna
Hi Suzanna, I've been thinking of you too and I've done the same. I'm only going twice a week, Mum doesn't miss me, which gives me some sort of comfort, but then again I still feel guilty. The staff have told me not to feel like that as Mum is being looked after well. I'm actually taking her out today to get some longer nighties (more for her privacy than anything). It is Winter here of course and with her being so little she gets cold easily too.
I've got 6 treatments to go - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week and then next Monday and I finish on Tuesday. Yeah! I've got a pale pink radiation burn and hopefully that will stay like that, but I've been warned that I could get more towards the end of the treatment. Apart from that I have no side effects. Love Chris
Sorry forgot to say the thing with the pink ties is a Crochet hook, pencil, paint brush etc. type holder. It's just a roll of 2 pieces of fabric with some wadding and then I sewed channels of different widths and placed two ties to roll it up. I've got one similar for my crochet hooks. Love Chris
Lovely work! Thanks for using one of Veronika's designs!
It is hard when they forget. With my grandfather, we had to just let him tell stories. He chatted with my mom, his only daughter, for more than an hour talking about his daughter. My mom thought he was having a lucid moment until he asked if she had met his daughter.
May you be blessed for all you do for your mum.
Hi Rescuer, yes, it's so sad to see and hear these things. I was just writing to Toogie in the Inbox Private messaging saying Mum introduced me yesterday as her Sister! It broke my heart! Love Chris
Hi Chris. so good to hear you are feeling well, I've been thinking of you a lot. I am glad to see you are keeping yourself busy, and your mind active with projects!
Good work on those items!
Hi Mary, thanks for commenting. It's been a bit chilly here in the mornings and late afternoons, so I get work done during the sunniest part of the day. Love Chris
