Someone asked to see my wall of pockets so here it is the birds on the left are cross stitch the one on the right are hand embroidery these were done years ago before I had an embroidery machine they were just lying in a draw so had to make some use of them when I bought my first emb machine the rest are machine embroidery of course the pockets are now too small to fit all my hoops so maybe in future I will make another one for the opposite wall to accommodate the larger hoops Thanks for taking interest in my work

Thank you Carol for posting. I have just taken a photo of my cross stitch Lourie - sorry about my shadow. I have a feeling it might be the same pattern as yours.
I also thought you may like to see my mothers hand embroidery birds. My mother died in 1977 but I will always treasure these pictures.

I am going to try and find a site for you that I think has SA birds.
