This is my first attempt at paper piecing, but instead of using paper a friend told me to use starched muslim to avoid ripping the paper away and it also gives it an extra layer. Well I tried it and it worked, it was so simple and I couldn't believe when all the blocks matched up, I have a Japanese theme in my lounge room, so it fitted perfectly. Well I'm off to make something else now, can't keep still....Have a great day.

Very nice tabsolom. I also have discovered the accuracy of paper-piecing and have found that a light-weight Vilene works very well instead of paper too. *4U

HA!!!! You are not going to believe this, but the kimono doll was my first foundation piecing project as well! I only did the one kimono doll.We actually used tracing vielene, which does not have to be torn away either. Now, when I design my own, I just photocopy all the pieces and use that. Tears away real easy, and you don't have to spend hours carefully tracing all the lines.

Very nice - and I was wondering about paper piecing this afternoon. I have not tried it, and was wondering just how it would be done. This is really unique.
