well thank you Vicki for your free Mom's design. I hope that you like how I used it. It is still wet as I used wss on the back of this & since it is glue I just lightly misted it so it would stick. I know that you can tear this to get a different look but I was afraid I would make it look worse....I am not very happy with it as it is so may have to come up with something else

Loralye, another thing you can do that is fun....coil a fine wire (or buy a small spring) and attach it to the back of the stitchout and attach to the card....when the person opens the card the design springs out from the caRd.......

Love it! Great idea and thank you for sharing - also I love the suggestion of Vicki to burn the edges of paper to look a bit

Something I have done in the past is I take a wood burn and lightly singe the edges of the paper, ...makes it look really cool...have you tried stitching right on the card? I think you did a great job with it!!

Hubs made the comment ( I asked for his honest opinion) it looks like something the grandkids would make. BAM so I am going to give it to the 4 & 5 year olds so they can sign their name to the card & give it to their mommy. Better then throwing it out altogether

I think it looks great! Remeber - because you made it, that's the greatest gift! It doesn't matter if it is perfect or not - sometimes bertter if not.

This is a new idea for me! Thanks for posting! Your mother will be happy to have this! I think I might try using an iron-on stabilizer then use a glue stick to attack to the paper.

I like your idea Loralye! I might try to do something similar.... embroider on tissue paper backed with wss (maybe a couple layers to get some body), then wet and stick to to a card. I've never tried anything like that.... hmmmm maybe need to think that through a little bit more...
