Cricket was the name of the lady that I worked for 24 1/2 yrs. Actually her name was Cheryl but no one knew her real name unless they knew her real well! I just saw this for the first time and thought I might do something for her and send it to her snail mail. She sold the business 11 months before I had to retire. Her husband was the one that hired me but he passed away with cancer at a fairly young age. I went through all of that with her, went through her dating again and then she finally remarried. It was a long time before she even started dating. We kinda stuck together through all of it! Of course, she did not have to keep the businesses but she did until she became a granny. Her 1st husband had several million in insurance left to her plus the 2 restuarants. She was a worker though. I had not been with them but about 3 or 4 yrs when he passed away. I went to work on May 30th of 1980 as asst. mgr. and took over as manager on the last day of July of 1980. We went through alot together! I started in the little store and went to the big store 2 1/2 yrs later and 45 miles from home. I was required to move. The week I moved and they paid for everything, I also got a $100.00 a week raise plus bonuses. My son worked with me in both places but he did not move when I did. He was in Jr. College right behind our home in the old town. He worked during the week in the small store and on the week-ends with me. Of course, I went home as much as he came to the other place. It was not but 45 miles. Even with me gone alot, my son's dad, just across town did not even go to see him nor did my son go to see his dad. Now his dad is all in his face! My family's remark was that he was trying to get in heaven but I think he is just trying to stir up trouble. He has managed to do enough of it but that is another story! Thanks again for yet another great embossed design!
