I embroidered this doily for my owl-loving daughter for Easter using a handmade antique doily I have had for years. The design is Emb Library Baroque Barn Owl F7919. The colors were changed to suit her taste.
This is my version of the free owl from The Mad Woman of Locke Street. I used vintage brown felt and vintage fur fabric. Also used my vintage pinking shears to trim around the edge.

Using instructions from Quilting Arts Oct-Nov magazine I created this scuptural bowl. It consists of layers of fabric pieces, thread and wool -roving sandwiched between two pieces of wash away stabilizer and stitched extensively.
