Owl mug rug. I've been trying to think of other animals to follow the pig as a recycled CD. I'm quite pleased with this owl - I may even enlarge the design to make a matching pot holder. He now has a potholder partner.
The latest additions to my CD flock.
This is a "poorly blanket" that I made for my friend Ann (Scottie0930) with the help of my Cute Sisters in Stitching from around the world. Strictly speaking it isn't a quilt as it has a polar fleece backing and no wadding.
Octagonal - placemat/mugrug/potholder? This is made ITH using the strip and flip method (thanks for the description, dragonflyer!) It was made in my 200mm square hoop - and won't really be worth doing any smaller.

I've sent out about 100
Musical Penguin mug rug (with CD of course!) I couldn't resist Diane's suggestion so here he is. May have looked better in plain fabric. The cat is still developing...
My lovely dog. Please give Kattule hundreds of flowers for making this design for me. It is from a drawing and is a great likeness. It is stitched on ecru linen and has 48 000 stitches.
Another one with the CD recycling design.
I've been experimenting with organza flowers again. This is my own design (for the J-club ladies.) The experimental part is the construction of the flower. For the one in the close up, I had a bead at the end of my stem wire. I put in a gathering thre
Zipped purse (my own) with vintage sewing design from Urban Threads. Just for fun! I made the second one using the test stitchout I had made of the design. It is a bit bigger but squarer - I had to adjust the purse design to fit!
Another in the hoop rag doll. I managed to digitise my own face this time and fiddled with the outline to make the arms longer. Now I think the feet are too big and the arms are too thin! My family is growing by trial and error. I hope my next attempt wil
ITH Piano purse. I was testing a new design and I decided to try out a couple of construction ideas, including building in a lining. I was pleased with the new ideas (I'll start a thread in Community to explain them) but I need to work on the keyboard
Hand cross-stitch. This is a birthday gift for my good friend who looks after the garden when we are away. Unfortunately I didn't do enough research before I ordered the kit and I haven't enjoyed stitching it as much as I should. It relies too heavily o
Etui - I've made this for myself to use as a travelling sewing kit.
My experiment for today. I've had this in mind for ages - I wanted to put a zip in the "fly", but the purse wouldn't have been much use. In the end I decided to hide it under the edge of the "waistband".
My J-club ladies wanted to try fringe designs, but they also like ITH items that can be completed during a club meeting. This is what I've come up with.
