About me:My name is Mariëtta Northcote, I live in Bellville, Cape peninsula, South Africa, and am 58 years old.
I have been married to John for 37 years, and we have two sons. Sean (33), unmarried, and is in the South African police force. Wayne(30), who is engaged, and lives in Kimberley (the diamond city) with his fiance, who we also love dearly, and he is manager of a exclusive bookshop.
I am a qualified needlework and domestic science (home economics) teacher, who taught domestic science at a high school in Bellville, and then left teaching to go into the sewing industry. I was a dressmaker for 30 years after my kids were born, and now I teach dressmaking from home. My DH bought me my Elna embroidery machine 3 years ago, and I have been embroidering ever since. I also do orders for people in my spare time, and love doing it.
