About me:Ran a restaurant and did outside catering for 25 yrs. during which time I also owned and operated a Craft/Consignment Store on the Square of downtown,Smalltown, Ga My son worked with me in both the restaurant and the craft store as well as doing Heating and A/C repair and installing. I had to give up the Craft store because of my health and it was not long before I was forced to retire completely. My arthritis got so bad that I was not able to stand long enough at a time to run a business. My son moved out at 37 and moved to the Atlanta area for a full time job in Heating and A/C. I was forced to follow him 3 1/2 yrs later so he could help look after me. Shortly after I moved to the Atlanta area he met and then married a wonderful young lady and then I never got to see him. I have been trying to get back to my old home town of where my family and friends are since then but at the present, the Dr's. are keeping me in the Atlanta area. I have 3 embroidery machines, a regular sewing machine and 2 sergers all of which I use but not on a regular basis. Since my legs got so bad, I have a hard time trying to get anything done. I enjoy 2 adorable Pekingese girls, Bebe who is 13, has cancer, and has been with me everyday of her life and Patty-Patches, 4, who I adopted 2 years ago off of Petfinders.com I went to Tn. to pick her up. I fell in love with her the 1st time I saw her! There is alot of age difference but they get along real well! They have 2 totally different personalities. I spent many years doing canine rescue because I had very good friends that were Vets. Both he and his wife have passed away but I do not need but just the 2 now. I am 62 and been divorced for almost 30 yrs. I raised my son from 11 yrs old until he left home at 37 alone. I was raised in Ga. so I have not drifted very far from home all these years. I visited this group a few times a couple of years ago but did not spend very much time on the computer so it was not until a few months ago that I got to know what a great group this is! I am really impressed how caring and helpful everyone tries to be. Everyone here seems to know so much about the craft and is willing to share with those of us that do not know as much!
