At last I've had time to play with my new machine. (To say I've been frustrated would be an understatement!)

Here is a placemat made in the 230mm x 300mm hoop. The cutlery is not a reflection on our table manners! I just thought the gardening tools went rather well with the vegetable fabrics.

Looks great and just so unusual. Your fabric choice is lovely.

This is so cute. I think it is perfect for on the table for a salad bowl or any veggie mat. Love the humor on the utensils. Your new big hoop is a fantastic addition to have. Glad you have time to play with your new baby and see wha it can do.

I for one can understand and appreciate the frustration of no time to use a machine. I've been in that pickle for the last little while. the longer away doesn't make it any easier to swallow. Your placemat is such a hoot, with utensils to compliment the fabric...perfect! lol

Well done Sue, I hope you get more time in the future to play with your new machine. Great idea with the spade and fork. Love Chris

Oh, boy, do I ever know the learning curve for a new machine, in fact when I have to use the Bernina, it is like starting all over again.....personally Sue, I see nothing wrong with a shovel and large fork to eat with......I bet lots of men would appreciate these utensils.....your machine is performing well for you!

I love this how about a tractor, wagon bowl. I am in the mood now for fresh salad and I can't even plant my garden to much rain.

We've had rain and hail here today, but it has been a very dry April overall.

Well you say you were frustrated but you have achieved a good piece of work. So well done. New machines are a learning curve but I am sure you will soon understand this one well. Love the garden fork and spade by the lovely fabric

The machine isn't the problem - lack of time is!

lol Sue you are so funny, of course we all eat with garden tools lol. This is a really fun placemat. You had the 12000 no the 11000 is it a lot different from the 12? If not I have the 12 & I would be happy to help out if I can. ~hugs~

I've upgraded from 11000 to 15000.

I wonder if there are many difference from the 12000 & the 15000? Either way I know you will enjoy getting to know your new baby

I love the veggies and the garden utensils too. Great placemat.
I hope your next project will give less frustration and hassle. The way they play around with the placement of different "tools" is sometimes quite silly. My Ruby has the start and cut button next to each other and the times I have cut a thread instead of starting the machine - you'd think I'd learned by now, but if I don't look I often misplace my eager finger.
The size of your hoop is great, mine is 200x360, but I would have preferred a wider one.

Looking forward to seeing your next project - happy sewing/embroidering!

The machine is fine, there are some differences but I'm really enjoying them! Time and opportunity have been my problems until today.
