What a shame to not be able to use them......they turned out really nice!
Wowser you have been busy! As for the hankies, you could sew two together and make monogrammed bags for things for him (although I like the napkin idea as well). Thanks for sharing this project with us.
A major job & well done. Shame about the hankies (they look sew nice too) but as has already been said, napkins would be a great use for them. You have every right to feel very pleased with yourself, undertaking & achieving all of this.
I think the mums that sew are the ones who get all these extra jobs, so occassionally maybe we should go to our kids homes with what looks like a broken arm or something so we can just relax and enjoy ourselves there!
(I think you did a great job getting all that done and thinking of a use for the leftovers rightaway - even if he did burst your bubble! I'm sure there is a good use for them.
I had a good chuckle when you said (below) that after you did 10 sets of curtains and made hankerchiefs - then you painted the kitchen too. Only a mom can do that --- Too bad about the polyester, but I think you will find a use for them. And they look very good.
Oh my what would they do without Mum ...My son does the same to me when i visit all he mending and odd jobs are waiting.....soozie
you are amazing with all that you do! Napkins is a very good use for them, I agree with pennyhal. ~hugs~
These now look like very perfect, square, neat dust cloths for your machine.
Mercy, 10 sets of curtains with linings and then hankies of the left over. What a job Carolyn. Those hankies can still be used. You have certainly done enough for a while of work things. Now do fun things, more towels!! LOL Hugs/Lillian
They look large enough that they could be used as lunch napkins, or cocktail napkins. Doing all those curtains is a lot of work.
Very nice I am smiling. They still work just not as well as cotton would. Tell him better a hank than a sleeve, lol. I know.....ewwww.
