These bags are made of a stiff vinyl backed fabric. I didn't use any stabilizer at all.

Thank you fro the information. I've seen ads for them, but I've also seen complaints about them letting the fabric slip out, so I wondered how it was working for you.

I didn't have to take it apart. I turned it inside out to do this and used the magnetic Snap Hoop to hoop it. I don't know that you can hoop this stiff stuff, so you'll have to figure out a way to float it and anchor it while embroidering, but once inside out, you have a good bit of "operating space".
