Great job. Did you make her a mat to go with the thread catcher? Thank You for sharing, always enjoy looking at the things you make.

Delightful solution to a common problem. Much better than my grocery bag 1/2 tucked under the machine. I will have to make one. Thanks for the clear 'how-to.' I like the use of the vinyl instead of the heavy plastic hoop.

these are a great idea, I made one similar to yours but the part that you have under the sewing machined I have a tile inside it with wadding on top , covered with the matching material, it acts as a weight and a pincushion ! It sits beside the machine.

Great idea, did you put some sort of hooping cord or something stiff in the top it seems to make a solid stand? Well done, I bet Deneige will be thrilled with it. Love Chris

Thank you for posting this. I recently bought an old second hand serger which doesn't have a tread catcher. As my own one has a built-in catcher, I thought perhaps the second hand one's had broken. I find it strange that it is not normal practice to have a catcher built in, as we all know how much it is needed. I have not used my second one because of this fact, but now I will try your idea out. :)
