Just another day fishing with Dad on the ice. Jasper and LoLa looking to see where that fish went . Thanks goodness its a little hole or else I am afraid they would go after it.

Lucky I am home warm in my favorite room... doing a little sewing .

We have two very spoilt indoor only cats. Last night DH & I were sitting at the dining table watching TV after dinner. The charcoal & white cat was sitting on the bar stool near us. I pulled it over while she sat on it so that we could play with her without getting up. She nibbled my fingers as I had put them in her paw. Didn't mean to do that.
She had lots of fun with being patted while she rolled around on the seat which isn't very big. At one stage I had to grab her as she was sliding off. In the end she was so tired that she went to sleep sitting on the stool with her head resting on the back rest. DH took a picture of it. So funny.
The other cat is black & white and is very timid. We are slowly training her to come and sit with us while we watch TV in the lounge room.
Both cats love to keep me company in the sewing room and I have beds made up for them there, but they also like to sleeping on my fabric or in little nooks & crannies that they find amongst my myriad of boxes and desks.
The black & white girl likes to watch me sew - up close & I mean real close. I have to be careful of where I place things so that when she walks around my machines she will not cut herself on scissors. She makes me be tidy. When I stop using the machine, she wants to see the hand work that I am doing.
Love 'em both.

You don't have to sorry about them staying warm. With those wooly coats they will be fine. One of the loveliest sights I have ever seen was coming over a hill in Michigan one night and seeing a myriad of lights out on a sea of ice. Hubby told me " they are ice fisherman" being from Ga. I had never seen anything like it/Lillian

This is Lucky the greyhound's favourite activity -catching up with friends :) The weather is just a little different here. We went to a group get together and walk on Friday evening because it was too hot in the daytime.

How bad are my eyes - I thought the were bears until I enlarged the picture.

I have a cat. He mostly wants petting, although he will supervise me in the garden and at raking and likes to go into the greenhouse when I work there. I think he'd appreciate a cat door into it, but I don't want other people's cats there. A neighbor's cat, now gone, used to sleep in the afternoon between the two layers of plastic ceiling and bake in the sunshine. Did untold damage accomplishing that pose.

We have a cat who chooses to live in my driveway and carport(supposed to be 3 doors down). While the dog and I were out on Friday evening, my 19yo was out in the garden socialising with 3 others over a newly installed firepit made from a washing machine tub. Rocky the cat joined in and then snuck into the house with them when they came inside later. He had a lovely time and wants to know when the next one is being held, LOL

Thank you for sharing!!!!! I really love hearing about joyful family events. We do not spend enough time sharing lifes' joys and to much time on lifes' tragedies.

I have ducks .. weird pets, I know, but ducks are cool :) Mine are Muscovy so they're very quiet because they kinda hiss instead of quack. Every single one of them has a different personality and they're very friendly so I like to hang out with them a couple of times a day. The four chickens also have their own personalities however theirs is in their cluck .. or rather the not cluck lol. One says Boooook book another quickly chatters with: rock-rock-rock.

I can't bring them inside (a duck in a nappy would be weird lol) but they're our pets. My children love them too, but other children get nervous since they're quite big beasties :)

I stared at your pic for a long time trying to figure out what your husband and son were dressed up as ... after all you did say "dad". I was so sure they were sheep when I finally figured out that no-one was dressed up lol. I hope you have a nice woolly coat when you go outside - like your pups do - too cold for me though. Gimme summer any day :)

They look like fun loving dogs who love life. I would be with you, home where it is warm. I no longer have a pet, but I would love to cuddle up with a pet and have the pet supervise me when stitching.

Jasper the larger of the 2 is a petite doodle, he is about 60 ib. LoLa is a 15lb cockapoo! She is a mini me of Jasper and yes they are great dogs. I had a hard time finding LoLa , first the colour brown and then to find one with a tail , they dock the tails of cockapoo's.

I think it's illegal to dock any dogs tails here in Australia these days, without good reason (i.e. they've broken it etc). They don't do the ear thing here either, so if I'm buying designs of schnauzers etc the ones from OS always look incorrect compared to ours.
